Brazilian Butt Lift Recovery
After your treatment, you will be moved to the post-operative room to wake up peacefully from your surgery. Once you are released by Dr. Landford, you will be able to go home and recover more comfortably. We encourage our patients to have a friend or family member available to provide them a ride home as they will still be under the effects of the anesthesia.
Patients can expect to feel tender and slightly swollen after the procedure and you may be required to wear a pressure garment over the donor area. You should try to move around as much as possible after surgery to promote healthy circulation but don’t exert yourself.
One of the aspects of a BBL recovery that our patients find the most irritating is not being able to sit or apply too much pressure to your butt for the first few weeks of recovery. This is very important because the injected fat needs a chance to graft itself (stick on) to your tissue. Any strain or force put on your butt during this time can cause the injected fat to move into an unfavorable position, or even be reabsorbed by your body. You can expect some deflation as these are natural occurrences, but causing additional trauma to your butt may undo the results.
