On the day of your Brazilian Butt Lift surgery, you will first be administered general anesthesia for a more comfortable cosmetic procedure. Dr. Landford will begin by using Liposuction to remove excess fat from your abdomen, flanks, back, outer thighs, or upper arms for your gluteal fat grafting. Next, the purified fat is placed in a centrifuge to turn it into a higher fat concentration so it can be placed back into your body safely and efficiently. Dr. Landford then makes several small incisions on your buttocks and then inserts a thin tool called a cannula through the incision, gently rocking it back and forth to loosen up any bands of tissue. Then, through a process that is like Liposuction in reverse, this purified fat is injected into strategic locations on your buttocks.
