High-Definition Liposuction Recovery
First Week >> Swelling and bruising will likely be at their peak during the first few days after surgery. Pain and discomfort can be managed with prescribed medications. The compression garment will remain on for 24 hours daily. You will see Dr. Landford at your first postoperative appointment at 7 days where she will monitor your progress.
First Month >> Most of the swelling and bruising should have subsided by this point, though some residual swelling may persist. You can gradually resume light activity and exercise, but listen to your body and avoid overexertion. Once four weeks have passed, you should be able to get back to your normal exercise routine. The initial results of the Liposuction will become more apparent, but the final results will take several months to develop.
Long-term >> Over the next few months, you will continue to see improvements in your body contour as the residual swelling resolves and the tissues settle. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and exercise can truly enhance the results.
Note: Individual recovery experiences can vary, and it’s essential to follow your surgeon’s specific post-operative instructions for the best possible outcome.
