What is FaceTite?

FaceTite, sometimes referred to as a non-surgical facelift, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that tightens loose skin, melts fat, smooths wrinkles, and contours the face and neck. It uses radiofrequency (RF) energy delivered through a small probe (cannula) inserted under the skin via a tiny incision as a wand moves over the skin’s surface. Radiofrequency energy is delivered simultaneously internally and externally to heat the skin and underlying tissues. As heat reaches the fat and fibrous tissue, melting it, the skin tightens and stimulates new collagen production.

This minimally invasive procedure is a great way to help people achieve firmer skin and a more youthful appearance for those who are not yet ready for surgery. If you’re looking to make your face and neck appear more youthful and refreshed without surgery, FaceTite at Landford Plastic Surgery may be an excellent place to get started.

What Are the Benefits of FaceTite?

People in Washington D.C. and Maryland who get FaceTite at Landford Plastic Surgery benefit in several ways, including:

How Much Does FaceTite Cost in Washington, D.C.?

The cost of FaceTite in Washington, D.C., and the Maryland area largely depends on a variety of factors. If multiple areas are being treated, more laxity is being addressed, more anesthesia is being used, you are seeing a more experienced provider, and you are in a major city, you will see a higher cost. Dr. Landford will provide an estimated quote during your consultation.

Who Are the Best Candidates for FaceTite?

If you are in Washington, D.C., or Maryland and have the following characteristics, you may be interested in getting FaceTite:

    • Early signs of aging, like wrinkles, lines, and sagging skin
    • Mild to moderate skin laxity and loose skin on the lower face, jawline, and neck
    • Small fat deposits under your chin or in the jowls, like a double chin
    • Prefer a minimally invasive approach rather than surgery
    • Good overall health
    • Good skin quality and sufficient skin elasticity
    • Realistic expectations of the procedure

What’s the First Step?

At Landford Plastic Surgery, we require all candidates in Washington, D.C., and Maryland to meet with Dr. Wilmina Landford during a private consultation before receiving FaceTite. During your consultation, you will have an honest, in-depth conversation about your aesthetic goals, medical history, and how the procedure can address your unique anatomy. Dr. Landford will assess your skin quality and aging symptoms and determine whether you are a good candidate for the procedure. You’ll create a treatment plan tailored to your goals and discuss payment options.

What to Expect on the Day of a FaceTite Treatment

Individuals in Washington, D.C., and Maryland should arrive at our office with no makeup, heavy creams, or lotions. You’ll be given medication to help you relax and local anesthesia to numb the treatment area, so you’ll still be able to respond to questions and commands. Dr. Landford will create a tiny incision, usually under your chin or behind your earlobe. The cannula will be inserted under your skin and deliver the RF energy while an external electrode moves over the skin to heat the fat and tighten the tissue.

After the procedure, you’ll be given a supportive bandage or compression garment. You’ll experience some swelling, bruising, and tenderness, but you can drive yourself home.

Following Dr. Landford’s instructions is essential to achieving optimal results. You’ll experience some swelling, bruising, and tenderness; take the prescribed pain medication provided after your procedure. Make sure to take plenty of rest and keep your head elevated. Wear a compression garment except when eating or showering for the first few days, and for approximately 9 hours for several weeks after the procedure.
